Suppliers must produce energy labels in accordance with EU regulations enforced by Safety & Standards and the ASA.

Suppliers are also responsible for providing energy labels to dealers at the earliest opportunity and free of charge. No label, grading, symbol or information can be shown on a product that could mislead people about the energy efficiency.

Dealers must display energy labels so that they are clearly visible, attaching them to the product where appropriate, and make the fiche available to consumers. For any means of distance selling, the information on the label and fiche must be provided to consumers before they buy the appliance.

The energy label is standardised across the UK and EU, it must include the following information:

• the amount of energy it uses in a year, displayed in kWh / annum
• its energy efficiency class, from best to worst, depending on the relevant scale for the product, with corresponding colour-coded arrows.
• the unit model number and the name of the manufacturer
• specific data according to its type, shown clearly in pictogram format

Energy Labels

Supplyline can produce energy rating labels fully-printed with all details on there for you to apply. They can be produced ‘blank’ for you to overprint if you produce several different products. If you have you own in house colour printing solution, we can supply the base labels to be printed on to, with a high quality material and permanent/peelable adhesives depending on the application.

The rating plates on electrical, electronic and household appliances are subject to a wide range of attack depending on the function of the product: the heat of an oven or fridge motor, abrasion and dust with a drill, UV and rain on an exterior air conditioning unit, etc.

A damaged print may compromise the identification of parts during repair, or may even cause the product to be put to an inappropriate use.

Serialised / Barcode Labels

Using our in-house label printers, we can produce barcode labels or products labels with serialisation for either the barcode, a serial number or batch code that is variable on your labels.
