Wax Products from ITW

ITW B220 Resin enhanced wax ribbons are the most common general purpose bar code ribbon.  Wax ribbons work well on coated and uncoated paper stocks, and print at higher speeds and lower temperatures than wax/resin or resin ribbons.

PrintheadSaver® B220 resin enhanced wax ribbon is a multipurpose bar code ribbon that yields excellent results
on a broad range of media.  An economical solution for most general use applications, B220 utilizes our proprietary anti-static coating and high sensitivity inks, operates at low print energy, prolonging printhead life, and produces high quality, sharp, crisp bar codes and variable images.  In addition, B220’s ink coating is solvent-free, making it an eco-friendly bar code ribbon solution.

ITW P110 High Speed Techno-Edge™ wax/resin is a thermal transfer ribbon that is designed especially for the flexible packaging printing market where optimum printing performance at high speeds is required.  Developed for near edge technology printers, P110 produces excellent print density and definition on a wide range of substrates, producing high resolution bar codes, texts and graphics.  P110 prints at 20-31 inches/second (500-800mm/second), and has a high resistance to scratching, smearing, abrasion and heat for superior scan rates in high volume applications.  P110 high speed wax/resin is also available in white providing a quick visual recognition of price codes, date codes, lot codes and other variable imagery that is printed on flexible packaging, and other labeling applications that require a color differentiator.

ITW P310 durable resin is formulated for online coders and some near edge desktop applications where excellent performance in harsh labeling environments, and high volume labeling applications is required.  P310 is a high speed, flexible resin made for flexible packaging applications that require increased smudge and scratch resistance.  This Techno-EdgeTM resin ribbon offers outstanding performance characteristics on synthetic paper film (PET, PVC).
