The Metapace S3 cordless barcode scanner has an integrated CCD engine, and performs up to 270 scans per second of standard 1D barcodes. Integrated radio transmission technology gives it a range of motion with a radius of up to 20 m. Any barcode scanned beyond 20 m is saved and transferred back to the receiving station at the touch of a button, once it is back in range.
This makes the S3 an ideal scanner for inventory or price checking work, and with a battery life of up to 8 hrs (approx 70,000 scans) their is a reduction of downtime due to battery change or charging. A weight of only 145 g is also means the barcode scanner is easy on the user.
The Metpace S-3 confirms successful scans with vibration, plus acoustical and optical feedback, which is excellent for loud or low-light working environments.
